Escape Verity: Horror House 簡介

Escape Verity is a free first-person horror game about five days in a house you cannot leave, and about the small yellow helper who does not want you to. Six modes, one house, and Verity talking in your ear the whole way.

A crate is delivered to your door on the first morning. Inside it is Verity: a smiling sphere that floats at your shoulder, calls you a friend, and knows the answer to everything. On day one that is genuinely useful. By day five it is the reason you are still in the house.

Can you survive Verity? Five days, six modes, three endings, and one thing you are never allowed to do: fight back.

ESCAPE THE HOUSE — THE CAMPAIGN

Five days, five attempts. You wake in the same bed every morning, and Verity wakes one step further from the helper he was: eager on the first day, clingy on the second, jealous on the third, hostile on the fourth, and on the fifth barely a shape at all. Going to bed yourself is worth more than being caught.

Four ways out. The gate needs three locks and three different parts. Below the basement there is a mine with a cart that has not run in years. The attic leads to the roof, where a glider can be built out of what the house left lying around. And in the yard stands a signal beacon. The pieces move between runs, so the house you learn is never quite the house you get.

Ask him, and pay for it. Verity knows where everything is and he will tell you. The price is that he comes one room closer every time you ask. From the third day his directions drift a room off. On the fourth, half are lies. On the fifth he answers with one word, and it is not a place.

Hide, because you cannot fight. Nothing you carry can hurt him — only slow him down: a flash block, sticky traps, a music box that pulls him to the wrong end of the house, and wardrobes to fold yourself into. He checks the wardrobes.

Three endings. Walk out through the gate. Bring help into the yard. Or stay — there is a way to keep him happy for five whole days, so he never has to let you go.

FIVE MORE MODES, SHORT AND HARD

DON'T BLINK — the torch is the only thing that holds him still, and the battery is your only clock. Light him, back away, never let the beam drop.

THE KNOCKING — you sit in the hall at night and something knocks on the door. Sometimes it is him. Sometimes it is wearing his voice. One decision per knock: open, or do not.

DOORS — a run through the abandoned laboratory under the house, one numbered door at a time. Every threat tells you what it is half a second before it takes you. How far do you get?

BEYOND — the wall at the back of the house is not supposed to be there. Behind it: yellow rooms that repeat, buzzing lights, and a hum that keeps you sane only while you can hear it. Find the codes, go deeper, get out.

THE NEST — gather by day, hold the lamp by night. Every night more of him comes down out of the attic, and the lamp has to burn longer. How many nights can you hold?

Every mode keeps its own record and its own daily seed: a run is three to ten minutes, and never the same twice.

HE TALKS, AND HE SPEAKS YOUR LANGUAGE

Verity is fully voiced, out loud, in 13 languages: English, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Hindi and Arabic. He tells you what to do, counts down what is left, warns you once, and tells you exactly what you did wrong when he catches you. All of it offline, with no account.
